Worthing, West Sussex, England-based black metal group Thus Defiled independently issue five-track EP A Return To The Shadows<\/em> on June 6th, 2017.<\/p>\n

A Return To The Shadows<\/em> has been made available for streaming in its entirety and can be accessed below.<\/p>\n

The outing was recorded with producer Tim Bartlett at Noise Farm Studio in Paige, Texas, who previously helmed February 2007 effort Daemonspawn<\/em>.<\/p>\n

A Return To The Shadows<\/em> consists of one original composition and four cover versions, the cover versions being; \u2018Evil Dead\u2019 (Death), \u2018Creeping Death\u2019 (Metallica), \u2018Demon Seed\u2019 (Morbid Angel), and \u2018Hellion\u2019 (W.A.S.P.). Vesperian Sorrow frontman Donn Donni lends backing vocals to \u2018Creeping Death\u2019, while former Morbid Angel drummer \/ vocalist Mike Browning provides lead vocals to \u2018Demon Seed\u2019 \u2013 Browning\u2019s original rendition surfacing on September 1991 Morbid Angel demo outing Abominations Of Desolation<\/em> (having been recorded in May 1986).<\/p>\n

The EP is available as a free download from the Thus Defiled website<\/a>, with the band asking only that fans give a donation to the Chuck Schuldiner approved musicians\u2019 charity Sweet Relief<\/a>.<\/p>\n
