Los Angeles, California-based hard rock group Mr. Big issued ninth full-length studio album Defying Gravity<\/em> on July 21st, 2017 through Frontiers Music Srl.<\/p>\n

The outing was produced by Kevin Elson, who previously produced Mr. Big\u2019s inaugural three platters, namely; Mr. Big<\/em> (1989), Lean Into It<\/em> (1991), and Bump Ahead<\/em> (1993). Defying Gravity<\/em> was recorded in Los Angeles over the course of six days. Drummer Pat Torpey was unable to perform some of the tracks due to a recent diagnosis of Parkinson\u2019s disease, with fill-in Matt Starr stepping behind the drumkit for the majority of Defying Gravity<\/em>.<\/p>\n

A deluxe edition version of Defying Gravity<\/em> includes a bonus DVD that features music videos and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the effort. In addition, a vinyl LP version and deluxe collector\u2019s edition box set (limited to 500 copies) are scheduled for release on August 18th, 2017.<\/p>\n
