Rock \u2019n\u2019 roll supergroup The Dead Daisies have released an official live performance video for their cover of Grand Funk Railroad\u2019s \u2018We\u2019re An American Band\u2019. The clip has been issued to celebrate American Independence Day and can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Bassist Marco Mendoza commented: \u201cMy career as a musician has allowed me to travel around the World quite a few times to experience different lands and cultures. Back in the USA we live with the abundance of life and freedom unequalled anywhere else and that\u2019s a fact! On July 4th let\u2019s fly the flag high and celebrate Independence Day and all it stands for!!! I for one am thankful and grateful to be able to live in the US OF A!!! The land of the free and the home of the brave!! VIVA THE USA and VIVA LA ROCK!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Vocalist John Corabi added: \u201cWe first did \u2018…American Band\u2019 by Grand Funk Railroad for our troops in South Korea. We wanted to bring a little bit of something \u2018American\u2019 to our men and women in uniform, and give them a taste of home. So, what better way than a classic American tune by a legendary American band. The song went over so well we decided to keep playing it and subsequently decorded it for our Live & Louder<\/em> album. Enjoy the Daisies version, the video, and your FREEDOM the troops are fighting for on this celebration of our independence as a young, sovereign nation!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Guitarist Doug Aldrich offered the following, meanwhile: \u201cHey Friends!!! We are dropping a new song to celebrate the 4th of July. For me, I think it\u2019s a time to remember and appreciate the Freedom that all of our own countries provide for us. Stay strong and let the music move ya!\u201d<\/p>\n

The Dead Daisies issued live CD \/ DVD \/ LP Live & Louder<\/em> on May 19th, 2017 through Spitfire Music \/ SPV.<\/p>\n

Live & Louder<\/em> was made be available in the following formats: digital download and stream, CD \/ DVD digipak (the DVD featured an exclusive Live & Louder<\/em> documentary, a Make Some Noise World Tour documentary, all music videos for the the Make Some Noise<\/em> album cycle, and a picture gallery), double 180g multicolor vinyl LP with gatefold sleeve (including printed inner sleeves, a four-page pooklet, and CD in paper sleeve), and a limited edition boxset. The latter included a CD \/ DVD digipak, double 180g 12-inch vinyl, exclusive coloured-vinyl 7-inch single recorded at The Zoo at Planet Rock Radio\u2019s London fan-only gig in November 2016, poster, sticker, button, patch and photo card.<\/p>\n
