San Francisco, California-based power \/ thrash metal band Hexx issued fourth full-length studio album Wrath Of The Reaper<\/em><\/a> on September 15th, 2017 through High Roller Records.<\/p>\n

Guitarist Dan Watson commented: \u201cPerhaps Hexx phase three is a good way to describe it. This new record is mostly rooted in our old power metal style of our first two albums, but there is a track on the album called \u2018Exhumed For The Reaping\u2019 that has a lot of very fast riffs that almost sound like it could have been from our speed\/ thrash metal era. Eddy\u2019s vocals are very high and melodic, so it still sounds like very fast power metal and not like true thrash metal.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe consciously tried to take what we thought were the best elements and style of our first two albums No Escape<\/em> [1984] and Under The Spell<\/em> [1986] and use that as the mainframe feel and vibe for this new record. I think there are slight elements echoing back to Quest For Sanity<\/em> [1988 EP] as well in some songs. We think this new album is by far our best offering.\u201d<\/p>\n

The outing was produced by Bart Gabriel and Dan Watson, and co-produced and engineered by Tim Narducci. Mastering was handled by Patrick W. Engel.<\/p>\n
