DARK TRANQUILLITY Premiere \u2018Forward Momentum\u2019 Music Video<\/strong><\/span>

\nGothenburg, Sweden-based melodic death metal group Dark Tranquillity have released a music video for the track \u2018Forward Momentum\u2019. Filmed in the far north of Sweden near Kiruna by former Sentenced and current The Man-Eating Tree drummer Vesa Ranta and directed by Harri Haataja, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Dark Tranquillity issue 11th full-length studio album Atoma<\/em> on November 4th, 2016 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n

A limited edition double CD version of Atoma<\/em> will be made available as a digipack in North America, and as a mediabook in Europe. The bonus disc features the tracks \u2018The Absolute\u2019 and \u2018Time Out Of Place\u2019, recorded and mixed by Anders Lagerfors at Nacksving studios. According to a press release, \u201cthese tracks are among the darkest and most brooding ever from the band \u2014 but their experimental nature make them far removed from the usual metal territory.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two tracks in question will be exclusively available as part of the physical deluxe edition version of Atoma, but not as part of the digital download version of the opus. A vinyl seven-inch single is scheduled for early 2017 issue.<\/p>\n

The gatefold vinyl LP edition of Atoma<\/em> will contain the 12-track CD and be available in different vinyl colours; black (worldwide), blue (limited to 400 copies, exclusively through Bengans in Sweden), dark green (limited to 200 copies, exclusively through CDon in Scandinavia), clear (limited to 400 copies in North America), transparent blue (limited to 300 copies, exclusively through cmdistro.com in North America), and transparent red (limited to 200 copies, exclusively through cmdistro.com in Europe).<\/p>\n

The outing was recorded at Rogue Music in Gothenburg, the studio owned by Dark Tranquillity keyboardist Martin Br\u00e4ndstr\u00f6m. Mixing was handled by David Castillo. Cover artwork duties fell to guitarist Niklas Sundin, once again.<\/p>\n

Filmed at the Turock Open Air Festival 2016 in Essen, Germany and directed by Dirk Behlau, a music video was also filmed for the track \u2018The Pitiless\u2019. In addition, an animated music video was created for the title track. Both clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Tenth studio record Construct<\/em> was released<\/a> in May 2013 via Century Media Records.<\/p>\n
