BODY COUNT Release New Radio Edit Version Of \u2018No Lives Matter\u2019 Track<\/strong><\/span>

Los Angeles, California-based metal group\u00a0Body\u00a0Count have released a new radio edit of their track \u2018No Lives Matter\u2019, which appeared on the band\u2019s 2017 album Bloodlust<\/em>. The original music video for the song can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

According to Body Count frontman Ice-T, the track\u2019s message is more relevant than ever as he stated in the music video intro, \u201c…when I say \u2018Black Lives Matter\u2019 and you say \u2018All Lives Matter\u2019, that\u2019s like if I was to say \u2018Gay Lives Matter\u2019 and you say \u2018All Lives Matter\u2019. If I said, \u2018Women\u2019s Lives Matter\u2019 and you say \u2018All Lives Matter\u2019, you\u2019re diluting what I’m saying. You\u2019re diluting the issue. The issue isn\u2019t about everybody, it\u2019s about black lives, at the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Century Media Records Director Philipp Schulte added: \u201cAs a company we felt it was necessary to release this single as a way to actively participate in the change that is needed to combat police brutality and racism. It is a first step in doing our part to inspire unity and transformation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Body Count issued sixth full-length studio album Bloodlust<\/em> on March 31st, 2017 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n

As was the case with previous effort Manslaughter<\/em>, the outing was produced by Will Putney. The album includes a guest guitar solo from Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine on the track \u2018Civil War\u2019, and also guest vocal appearances from former Sepultura and current Soulfly \/ Cavalera Conspiracy frontman Max Cavalera on the song \u2018All Love Is Lost\u2019 and Lamb Of God singer Randy Blythe on the cut \u2018Walk With Me…\u2019.<\/p>\n
