DEE SNIDER Releases Third Solo Studio Album \u2018We Are The Ones\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Dee Snider, vocalist of Long Island, New York-based metal group Twisted Sister, issued third solo full-length studio album We Are The Ones<\/em> on October 21st, 2016 worldwide through earMusic (except North America). North American release took place on October 28th via Red River Records (distributed by BFD \/ RED).<\/p>\n

The outing was produced by Damon Ranger. <\/p>\n

We Are The Ones<\/em> includes an acoustic re-recording of the Twisted Sister track \u2018We\u2019re Not Gonna Take It\u2019, the original rendition featuring on May 1984 platter Stay Hungry<\/em>. The interpretation was selected as the official anthem for The Recording Academy\u2019s advocacy efforts, including the Fair Play Fair Pay act. In April 2016, Snider was requested to speak in Washington, D.C. for the second occasion \u2013 the first being at the 1985 Senate hearing instigated by Tipper Gore and the Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC). On this occasion, Snider spoke on behalf of The Recording Academy\u2019s Fair Play Fair Pay initiative. A music video was filmed for the acoustic cover, which can also be viewed below.<\/p>\n

And as well, We Are The Ones<\/em> features a cover rendition of the track \u2018Head Like A Hole\u2019. Written by Nine Inch Nails, its original rendition was included on October 1989 debut Pretty Hate Machine<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Directed by son Cody Snider, a music video was also filmed for the track \u2018So What\u2019. The video sees Dee lending his support to the thousands of men and women at the Standing Rock Indian reservation in North Dakota who are protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline. In addition, an official lyric video was created for the title track. Both clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Second solo studio record Dee Does Broadway<\/em> was released in May 2012.<\/p>\n
