THE AGONIST Unveil Music Video For \u2018The Raven Eyes\u2019 Track<\/strong><\/span>

Montr\u00e9al, Qu\u00e9bec, Canada-based melodic death metal group The Agonist have filmed a music video for the track \u2018The Raven Eyes\u2019. Directed by FTB Visuals, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Guitarist Danny Marino commented: \u201cWriting this was a departure for Vicky [Psarakis, vocals] and I but it may have been one of the most rewarding as songwriters. It allowed us to explore sounds and emotions we\u2019ve always wanted to but could never quite get to in a metal setting. Also, working with Igor Khoroshev (Yes) really helped bring out the full depth of Vicky\u2019s piano and string arrangements. The lyrics were originally inspired by stories of the renaissance plague doctors. FTB Visuals was able to take these themes and create a modern world storyline with an equally dark overtone that captured the painful emotions in the song.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Agonist issued fifth full-length studio album Five<\/em> on September 30th, 2016 through Napalm Records.<\/p>\n

Five<\/em> was produced and mixed by Mike Plotnikoff at West Valley Studios in Woodland Hills, California, and mastered by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork duties fell to Gustavo Sazes.<\/p>\n
