CRYSTAL BALL Release Ninth Studio Album \u2018D\u00e9j\u00e0-Voodoo\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Lucerne, Switzerland-based melodic metal band Crystal Ball issued ninth full-length studio album D\u00e9j\u00e0-Voodoo<\/em> on September 2nd, 2016 (excluding North America) through Massacre Records. The label scheduled North American release for October 7th.<\/p>\n

The outing can be streamed in it entirety through YouTube below.<\/p>\n

The band commented: \u201cIt was quite a challenge to deliver a high-class album within a year, but we\u2019re sure that D\u00e9j\u00e0-Voodoo<\/em> will step it up a notch, both regarding the songwriting as well as the sound.\u201d<\/p>\n

D\u00e9j\u00e0-Voodoo<\/em> was produced, mixed and mastered by former Accept drummer and U.D.O. guitarist Stefan Kaufmann at his Roxx Studio in Solingen, Germany. Kaufmann also contributes backing vocals on the tracks \u2018Suspended\u2019 and \u2018Without A Net\u2019, as well as outro guitar solo on \u2018Home Again\u2019.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork duties once again fell to Thomas Ewerhard.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe artwork is the perfect symbiosis between the terms d\u00e9j\u00e0-vu and voodoo: D\u00e9j\u00e0-Voodoo! Our main character, a voodoo doll named Louis, is standing in the water, which mirrors him. The water is symbolic for the subconsciousness here. Louis also wears the Crystal Ball \u2018LifeRider\u2019 amulet around his neck, as a personal item. Why Louis? Well, keep your guesses coming!\u201d<\/p>\n
