DEADLOCK Premiere \u2018Backstory Wound\u2019 Music Video<\/strong><\/span>

\nSchwarzenfeld, Germany-based metal band Deadlock have filmed a music video for the track \u2018Backstory Wound\u2019. Directed by Marco H\u00e4rtl, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Deadlock issue seventh full-length studio album Hybris<\/em> on July 8th, 2016 through Napalm Records, and will available as a limited edition CD \/ DVD set. The DVD features a 90 minute documentary entitled The Longest Road.<\/p>\n

The outing marks the Deadlock recording debut of vocalist Margie Girlitz, who replaces Sabine Scherer. Girlitz stood in for Scherer during Deadlock touring commitments in late 2014 \/ ealy 2015 after the latter took time off to have a baby. Sabine Scherer subsequently made the decision to leave Deadlock, and on April 28, 2016 the band confirmed that Margie Girlitz was now a permanent member.<\/p>\n

Hybris<\/em> is also the first Deadlock studio album not to feature former drummer and founding member Tobias \u201cTobi\u201d Graf, who announced his departure from the band on April 28th, 2014. Sadly, Tobias Graf died of cancer on September 2nd, 2014 at the age of 35.<\/p>\n

In addition, an official lyric video was created for the song \u2018Ein Deutsches Requiem\u2019; a symphonic black metal interpretation of German composer and pianist Johannes Brahms\u2019 \u2018Ein Deutsches Requiem\u2019 (A German Requiem) and dedicated to Deadlock’s former drummer Tobias Graf.<\/p>\n

Sixth studio record The Arsonist<\/em><\/a> was released in July 2013.<\/p>\n
