ENSIFERUM To Release Compilation Album \u2018Two Decades Of Greatest Sword Hits\u2019 In April<\/strong><\/span>

\nHelsinki, Finland-based melodic folk metal group Ensiferum issue compilation album Two Decades Of Greatest Sword Hits<\/em> on April 1st, 2016 through Spinefarm Records.<\/p>\n

Ensiferum issued the following statement: \u201cTwenty\u00a0years since the first notes were played in Ensiferum\u2019s first rehearsals. I doubt that 15-years old Markus Toivonen had any idea what he had just started and what kind of journey the band would begin\u00a0that day.\u00a0So much has happened in 20 years, but the cornerstones of our music \u2014folk and metal\u2014\u00a0are still there and we will keep exploring this unholy combination until we die.\u00a0We have always composed songs with lots of patience and hard self criticism but still wanted to have some blink in the corner of the eye and push our musical boundaries. This compilation gives the listener great chance to hear how the band has evolved during these years. Enjoy and folk on!\u201d<\/p>\n
