CROWBAR Release 11th Studio Album \u2018The Serpent Only Lies\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

\nNew Orleans, Louisiana-based doom \/ sludge metal band Crowbar issued 11th full-length studio album The Serpent Only Lies<\/em> on October 28th, 2016 in Europe through Century Media Records. eOne Music scheduled North American release to take place the same day.<\/p>\n

Crowbar entered OCD Recording And Production in Metairie, Louisiana with engineer \/ producer Duane Simoneaux on February 17th, 2016 to begin recording sessions. Cover artwork duties fell to Eliran Kantor.<\/p>\n

Crowbar frontman Kirk Windstein issued the following statement: \u201cI intentionally went back and listened to a lot of old Crowbar stuff, like the self-titled and Broken Glass<\/em> albums (1993 and 1996, respectively), to get a feel for what my mindset was 20-plus years ago. I also went back and listened to the bands that influenced Crowbar in the beginning, like Trouble, Saint Vitus, Melvins, and the first Type O Negative record (Slow, Deep And Hard<\/em>, 1991). So it was kinda me doing my homework.\u201d<\/p>\n
