To be honest I wasn\u2019t expecting too much from these German metallers after their previous abysmal efforts, but Gold \u2019N\u2019 Glory<\/em> turns out to be a pleasant surprise.<\/p>\n

The material here has much more commercial appeal to anything on their previous albums, giving Faithful Breath an almost Accept-ish sound. Certainly tracks like \u2018King Of The Rock\u2019, \u2018Don\u2019t Feel Hate\u2019 and \u2018Gold \u2019n\u2019 Glory\u2019 are as good as anything that can be found on their fellow countryman\u2019s Balls To The Wall<\/em> album. Even better still are the more uptempo \u2018Jailbreaker\u2019, \u2018Don\u2019t Drive Me Mad\u2019 and the catchy \u2018Play The Game\u2019, which I feel would have made a better choice for a single than the long ballad \u2018A Million Hearts\u2019. However, this song together with \u2018Princess In Disguise\u2019 are the albums only weak points.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re already into Faithful Breath then you will no doubt love this album, but for those of you who have written them off in the past as no hopers then I\u2019d advise you to give them another chance \u2013 you won\u2019t be disappointed.<\/p>\n
