From the commercial Van Halen-ish \u2018Good Or Evil\u2019 to the hyper frenzied speed of \u2018Get Lost\u2019, Burn have delivered a well balanced ten-track metal album.<\/p>\n<p>Generally, the band remind me a lot of early Tygers Of Pan Tang. None too surprising when you learn that Burn were once known as Spellbound, which was of course the title of said band\u2019s second album.<\/p>\n<p>In Tom Oakland (aka Tomas Eklund) the Swedes have a powerful vocalist who comes across like a menacing Dave Lee Roth, especially on the superb opening track \u2018Gates Of Hell\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Other highlights include \u2018The Rebel\u2019, \u2018Burn In Fire\u2019 and the instrumental \u2018Fata Morgana\u2019, with instant comparisons here to Iron Maiden\u2019s \u2018Genghis Khan\u2019, only, dare I say it, better!<\/p>\n<p>Admittedly the production could be far superior, but as I said, a fine debut from a very talented band and certainly one to look out for.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bernard Doe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Review taken from Metal Forces, Issue 4 (1984)<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BURNBurn Moonshine (1983)Rating: 8\/10 The first album from a young Swedish band and a fine debut it is too.
