Verni (bass) and Rat Skates (drums) were part of New York\u2019s punk scene in the 70s, having previously been together in a band called Lubricunts; roots that obviously contribute to Overkill\u2019s raw, thrash \u2019n\u2019 bash approach. The band\u2019s line-up is completed by ex-DOA vocalist Bobby \u2018Blitz\u2019 Ellsworth and guitarist Bobby Gustafson, who was formerly with the apparently aptly named Dropouts.<\/p>\n<p>Overkill\u2019s demo, <em>Power In Black<\/em>, contains five tracks of equally constructed mayhem: \u2018Overkill\u2019, \u2018The Beast Within\u2019, \u2018There\u2019s No Tomorrow\u2019, \u2018Death Riders\u2019 and their stage opener \u2018Raise The Dead\u2019.
