Hell\u2019s Dagger are a four- piece metal band from Canada featuring Frank Ross (vocals \/ guitar), Syd Brophy (guitar), Danny Clout (bass) and Gil Heynemann (drums).<\/p>\n

The band\u2019s Metal Rebels<\/em> demo has four numbers \u2013 \u2018Eyes Of Fire,\u2019 \u2018Better Safe Than Sorry,\u2019 \u2018Metal Rebels\u2019 and \u2018Power Of Love\u2019 \u2013 which show a lot of promise, with their forte being the ability to write catchy riffs with a strong emphasis on melody. <\/p>\n

Bands such as Judas Priest and Def Leppard are comparisons that spring to mind, but Hell\u2019s Dagger don\u2019t sacrifice their commercial edge for heaviness; \u2018Metal Rebels\u2019 for instance reminds me a lot of Savatage.<\/p>\n

Admittedly the production of the demo leaves a lot to be desired, but I\u2019m sure if they are given the right push that we shall be hearing a lot more of Hell\u2019s Dagger in the near future.<\/p>\n
