Los Angeles, California-based thrash metal group Megadeth recruited guitarist Kiko Loureiro (of Brazilian \/ Italian metal group Angra), confirming this development on April 2nd, 2015.<\/p>\n

Vocalist \/ guitarist Dave Mustaine issued the following statement: \u201cI first met Kiko around eight years ago for a cover shoot for Burrn!<\/em> magazine. I had no idea who he was, other than the fact he was tremendously talented and that the staff from Burrn!<\/em> held him in high regard. Since then, I’ve come to see what a guitar virtuoso he is, and I’m deeply encouraged by his depth and talent.<\/p>\n

\u201cVery few Megadeth alumni have had the same feel and ability as Kiko. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs Frank Sinatra says, \u2018the best is yet to come!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

On March 31st, it was revealed that Megadeth have almost completed songwriting for their 15th full-length studio album, with tracking scheduled to begin next week. Chris Adler \u2013 of Richmond, Virginia-based metal ensemble Lamb Of God \u2013 will step behind the drumkit for recording sessions.<\/p>\n
