MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO Makes \u2018Burn\u2019 Cover Available For Streaming<\/strong><\/span>

\nChicago, Illinois-based guitarist Michael Angelo Batio (formerly of Californian metal ensemble Nitro) has made his cover version of \u2018Burn\u2019 available for streaming, which features Todd LaTorre and Mark Tremonti. Written by Deep Purple, its original rendition was included on the February 1974 album of the same name. Batio\u2019s version can be accessed below.<\/p>\n

Michael Angelo Batio issues compilation album Shred Force 1: The Essential Michael Angelo Batio<\/em> on April 14th, 2015 through Rat Pak Records. The man’s first career retrospective, the effort features a number of musicians from the heavy metal and hard rock genres.<\/p>\n

Cover tracks additionally include a rendition of \u2018What You\u2019re Doing\u2019, with guest contributions from Queensr\u00ffche vocalist Todd La Torre, Metal Church guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof, Alice Cooper bassist Chuck Garric, Metal Church \/ Trans-Siberian Orchestra drummer Jeff Plate and guitarist Craig Blackwell. Written by Rush, its original version featured on the band\u2019s March 1974 self-titled debut. <\/p>\n

In addition, Shred Force 1<\/em> collects tributes to Cream\u2019s Eric Clapton (\u2018Slowhand\u2019), late Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot guitarist Randy Rhoads (\u2018RRR\u2019, also featuring Quiet Riot bassist Rudy Sarzo), and late Pantera guitarist \u201cDimebag\u201d Darrell (\u2018Diamond\u2019; a new version, featuring Queensr\u00ffche guitarist Michael Wilton).<\/p>\n

Instrumental track \u20188 Pillars Of Steel\u2019 features guest appearances from Elliott Dean Rubinson, Dave Reffett, Jeff Loomis (guitars, ex-Nevermore \/ Arch Enemy), Rusty Cooley, George Lynch (guitars, Lynch Mob \/ ex-Dokken), Andrea Martongelli (guitars, Arthemis) and Craig Goldy (guitars, ex-Dio), while fellow instrumental affair \u2018Juggernaut\u2019 features guest contributions from Chris Poland (guitars, ex-Megadeth), Dave Reffett, Annie Grunwald, Guthrie Govan, Mike LePond (bass, Symphony X) and Michael Romeo (guitars, Symphony X).<\/p>\n
