\nSmith & Myers \u2013 consisting of vocalist Brent Smith and guitarist Zach Myers of American rock group Shinedown \u2013 digitally issued EP (Acoustic Sessions)<\/em> on January 28th, 2014.<\/p>\n

The track listing was as follows;<\/p>\n

01. \u2018London Calling\u2019 (originally performed by The Clash)
\n02. \u2018Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay\u2019 (originally performed by Otis Redding)
\n03. \u2018Nothing Else Matters\u2019 (originally performed by Metallica)
\n04. \u2018She Talks To Angels\u2019 (originally performed by Black Crowes)
\n05. \u2018Blue On Black\u2019 (originally performed by Kenny Wayne Shepard)
\n06. \u2018Runaway Train\u2019 (originally performed by Soul Asylum)<\/p>\n

Recording sessions were filmed in their entirely by longtime Shinedown collaborator, filmmaker Darren Doane, resulting in companion videos for each of the EP\u2019s six tracks. Smith & Myers\u2019 rendition of \u2018London Calling\u2019 was exclusively premiered via Billboard.com on January 21st in video format, with videos for each of the EP\u2019s remaining cuts being premiered at that location daily up until its January 28th issue.<\/p>\n

Kenny Wayne Shepard guested on \u2018Blue On Black\u2019, a cover version of his own tune. Four tracks were left off of the EP due to the fact that certain permissions weren\u2019t granted by the original artists in time for its release, namely Bon Jovi\u2019s \u2018Wanted Dead Or Alive\u2019, Adele\u2019s \u2018Someone Like You\u2019, Pearl Jam\u2019s \u2018Black\u2019 and Phil Collins\u2019 \u2018In The Air Tonight\u2019. These four collectively surfaced under the title (Acoustic Sessions, Pt. 2)<\/em>, released on March 18th, 2014.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
