Joensuu, Finland-based melodic death metal group Insomnium issued sixth full-length studio album Shadows Of The Dying Sun<\/em><\/a> on April 28th, 2014 in Europe through Century Media Records. The label also scheduled North American release for the 29th.<\/p>\n

Shadows Of The Dying Sun<\/em> marked the first Insomnium full-length to feature guitarist Markus Vanhala.<\/p>\n

The outing\u2019s drums were cut by Kimmo Perkki\u00f6 at SF Sound Studio in Lehmo, Finland. All other parts were recorded by Teemu Aalto at Korkeakoski Studios in Kotka, Finland. Mixing duties fell to Andr\u00e9 Alvinzi at Fascination Street Studios in \u00d6rebro, Sweden, while mastering was handled by Svante Forsb\u00e4ck at Chartmakers in N\u00f6ykki\u00f6, Espoo, just outside Helsinki.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork responsibilities were overseen by Wille Naukkarinen, once again.<\/p>\n

In its first week of release, Shadows Of The Dying Sun<\/em> landed at position two in Finland, at position 18 in Germany, at position 33 in Switzerland, and at position 38 in Austria.<\/p>\n

Directed by Grupa 13, a music video was filmed for the track \u2018While We Sleep\u2019 in Wroc\u0142aw, Poland. In addition, an official lyric video was released for the song \u2018Revelation\u2019. Both clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Fifth studio record One For Sorrow<\/em> was released in October 2011.<\/p>\n
