SCORPIONS Release \u2018MTV Unplugged\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

\nGerman heavy metal group Scorpions issued MTV Unplugged<\/em> in North America on January 21st, 2014 through Sony International. The release was available in two formats; a standard CD and a deluxe version including a CD and DVD.<\/p>\n

MTV Unplugged<\/em> featured acoustic versions of Scorpions tracks, as well as five new compositions.<\/p>\n

MTV Unplugged<\/em> was recorded and filmed on September 11th and 12th, 2013 at the Lycabettus Theatre in Athens, Greece, the material culled from two acoustic sets. The performances marked the first open-air show in the history of the MTV Unplugged<\/em> show. Swedish musicians and producers Mikael Nord Andersson (guitars, mandolin, lap steel, and vocals) and Martin Hansen (guitars, harmonica, and vocals) contributed on both days, the pair arranging the tracks.<\/p>\n
