KARI RUESL\u00c5TTEN Releases Fifth Studio Album \u2018Time To Tell\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

\nKari Ruesl\u00e5tten \u2013 founding member of the progressive doom metal band The 3rd And The Mortal \u2013 issued fifth studio full-length solo album Time To Tell<\/em> on March 7th, 2014 through Despotz Records.<\/p>\n

The outing was cut at \u00d8ra Studio in Trondheim, Norway with Jostein Ansnes handling production duties. Guest musicians featured include Jostein Ansnes (guitar), Rune Arnesen (drums), Trygve Br\u00f8ske (piano and pump organ) and Eirik \u00d8ien (upright bass).<\/p>\n

Ruesl\u00e5tten issued the following statement: \u201cThe composing has been done by me sitting at the piano singing. No drum beats or co-composers this time! I wanted to go back to the core of songwriting. If the verse and chorus works just accompanied by the piano, it will work with other arrangements in studio too.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat really triggered me to start making music again were all the kind messages I got from fans around the world asking me when new music would surface. I am most humble and grateful to find that there are people out there who have followed my music since my early beginning, back in The 3rd And The Mortal days, and through all my solo albums.\u201d<\/p>\n

The track \u2018Why So Lonely\u2019 originally appeared on 1994 The 3rd And The Mortal album Tears Laid In Earth<\/em>, and was arranged by Ruesl\u00e5tten with the help of Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish) on piano and keyboards, Jostein Ansnes on guitar and Rune Arnesen on drums. A music video was filmed, in addition.<\/p>\n
