Japanese issue occurred on the 5th via Victor Entertainment, with release taking place in the rest of the world on the 7th.<\/p>\n<p>The album was made available as a deluxe box, which included a CD \/ DVD digibook in silver mirror slipcase with a 44-page booklet (with gold foil, UV gloss lamination), supersize poster flag (approx. 3.5\u2019 x 5\u2019), a wooden black inverted rosary cross, a metal pin, and a black envelope with black communion wafers. Entitled <em>Live Barbarossa<\/em>, the DVD featured a live performance professionally filmed in Ekaterinburg, Russia as well as a 30-minute documentary chronicling the creative process behind <em>The Satanist<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Production duties were handled by Behemoth,  Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawscy and Daniel Bergstrand at Hertz Studio. Mixing duties were overseen by Matt Hyde, with Ted Jensen handling mastering responsibilities at Sterling Sound in New York City.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Satanist<\/em>\u2019s cover artwork was designed by Russian painter and occultist Denis Forkas, the painting including some of vocalist Nergal\u2019s own blood.
