KING OF ASGARD Release Third Full-Length Album \u2018Karg\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

\nMj\u00f6lby, Sweden-based Viking metallers King Of Asgard issued third full-length album Karg<\/em> on July 18th, 2014 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland through Metal Blade Records. The label also scheduled European release for the 21st, and North American release for the 22nd.<\/p>\n

Recording sessions began in March 2014 at Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden with producer Andy LaRocque (King Diamond guitarist).<\/p>\n

King Of Asgard singer \/ guitarist Karl Beckman issued the following statement: \u201cThe epic \/ melodic songwriting of the first two albums is enhanced with monophonic warlike hymns and fierce riffage that hint on the various band members past projects. Somewhat darker in its approach, creating atmospheres not alien to King Of Asgard, but still something not heard on the previous two albums. All the King Of Asgard significative elements are represented yet carrying a somewhat new execution.\u201d<\/p>\n

Directed by Rickard Moneus, a music video was filmed for the track \u2018The Runes Of Hel\u2019 at Vadstena Castle, inside one out of four circular cannon turrets. <\/p>\n

\u2018Total Destruction\u2019 was a cover interpretation; written by Bathory, \u2018Total Destruction\u2019\u2019s original rendition was featured on May 1985\u2019s The Return…<\/em><\/p>\n
