Liverpool, England-based melodic death metal group Carcass issued sixth full-length album Surgical Steel<\/em><\/a> in Europe (excluding the United Kingdom) on September 13th, 2013 through Nuclear Blast Records. The label also scheduled a United Kingdom release for September 16th, and subsequently a North American release for September 17th. <\/p>\n

The outing was produced by Colin Richardson and mixed by Andy Sneap. Original drummer Ken Owen provides guest backing vocals on the tracks \u2018Thrasher\u2019s Abattoir\u2019 and \u2018Unfit For Human Consumption\u2019.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was created by Martin Nesbitt.<\/p>\n

Exclusively available through Nuclear Blast US mail-order and limited to 750 copies worldwide, a \u201csurgical kit box\u201d edition houses a DVD-sized booklet, an oversized poster, and a picture disc LP. Several formats feature the bonus track \u2018Intensive Battery Brooding\u2019.<\/p>\n

Music videos were released for the tracks \u2018The Granulating Dark Satanic Mills\u2019 and \u2018Unfit For Human Consumption\u2019. In addition, an official lyric video was created for the song \u2018Captive Bolt Pistol\u2019. All three clips can be viewed below. <\/p>\n

Fifth studio record Swansong<\/em> was released in 1996 via Earache Records.<\/p>\n
