Clogging up drains and toilets for a few years now, Savannah, Georgia-based Cellar Fluids continue their unhygienic slither through the sewers of the ear canal by delivering another grinding death heap.<\/p>\n

At just under 17 minutes long, Demons Gate<\/em> wades through slurry, snot and slop in equal measure as seven tracks ooze from every orifice with parasitic vengeance. Expect the unhealthiest of trips as each song sadistically churns like a blob of curdled bone marrow.<\/p>\n

The rhythmic pulsating of opener \u2018Zanbai Death Chant\u2019 sounds as if the guitar strings are coated in dried pus and ash. It\u2019s reasonably standard death metal though, often steady as it ploughs through thickening pools of human waste. \u2018Lobotomy Of Horrors\u2019 has a more grind style, particularly in the flatulent vocals, but it remains a measured and quite accessible cesspit of grisly gnashing.<\/p>\n

Arguably the best mulch-soaked riff on display emerges on \u2018Summoning The Hordes Of The Dead\u2019, a belching mid-tempo pile of bile that sounds like someone stomping on juicy innards. There\u2019s plenty of goofy gory fun to have, especially with the more twisted landscape of whirling horror \u2018Inflated Execution\u2019 which is both pacy but melodious compared to some of the groggier avenues.<\/p>\n

The whole sorry mess is a gloupy soup of Mortician, Carcass and numerous splattery pulpcore, so grab yourself some popcorn and take a front row seat for this cartoonish cacophony.<\/p>\n
