With <em>Cryptic Lust<\/em> the song remains the same somewhat as the quartet chows down heavily on those old school influences, especially vintage Death. Vocalist and guitarist Emilio Ortega has a real growl to not only his voice but his axework which he shares with Sofie Nabboud.<\/p>\n<p>As \u2018Hammer Of Eternal Torment\u2019 unravels we get treated to some atmospheric shifts that could easily slot in-between the grisly acts of Necrotum and Necrot, while the title track fizzes with wild leads and chomping riffage backed wholly by the meaty percussive slams of Xander Bridge.<\/p>\n<p>For 45 minutes Eternal dishes out a juicy platter jam-packed with snarling gallops (\u2018Ancient Rites\u2019), serrated strides (\u2018Thorns Of Regret\u2019), steady gore-soaked pulses (\u2018Conjuring The Void\u2019) and mid-tempo maddening (\u2018Spectral Immolation\u2019).
