Opener ‘Too Shit To Die’ starts like a grindcore track complete with Kerry King (Slayer) styled wild lead before you get your ears bashed by some hardcore rants. I could have imagined these guys appearing on the classic Hardcore Holocaust compilations back in my youth because this is humour-tinged chaos that drifts between so many extremes.

What’s not to like about the crossover fury of ‘Dead Meat’, or the mayhem of ‘Floss In Hell’ as the vocals are delivered as short snaps amidst a sea of equally disorderly drums and zipping punk guitars. You can mosh to it, skate to it or just run at walls, because it’s got those punky hardcore chugs.

This album is littered with scatty tracks that sizzle with electrifying leads and attitude, with the likes of ‘Chokehold’ and ‘This Means War (This Means War)’ all violent lashings that frantically hurtle in their protests while straddling influences from Doom to Intense Degree to US crossover thrash. Strap in, it’s gonna be a wild ride.

Neil Arnold

BONEJAMMERAnother Day In Paradise Wargame (2024)Rating: 8/10 Combining thrash metal and punk, these playful Danes unleash their debut full-length outing.
