CARNATION Launch Music Video For New Track \u2018Cycle Of Suffering\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Belgian death metal band Carnation have filmed a music video for the track \u2018Cycle Of Suffering\u2019. Directed by Jens De Vos of Panda Productions, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Regarding the song, the band stated: \u201c\u2018Cycle Of Suffering\u2019 is a relentless track that expertly treads the line between commanding lead sections and thunderous rhythmic riffage. It\u2019s an absolute blast to perform, which is why we gave it an energetic music video that focuses on our live performance. Undoubtedly, this track will end up in the set list of many of our future live shows.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carnation issue third full-length studio album Cursed Mortality<\/em> on November 3rd, 2023 through Season Of Mist.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe still play death metal and we still identify as such,\u201d commented frontman Simon Duson. \u201cBut we know that this is also our second decade performing it. And while it is very important for us to stay true to the old-school style, we know we had to open things up a bit and reach out to those who might be interested in extreme metal, but aren\u2019t that much into the old aspect of it. It also feels fresher to us because we\u2019ve decided to change our visual approach, with a new logo, a new look on stage and so on. In a way, it really feels like the beginning of a new chapter for Carnation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs artists, it\u2019s something natural,\u201d explained lead guitarist Jonathan Verstrepen about the band shifting direction. \u201cDoing the same thing over and over again doesn\u2019t inspire us. We love to create and we love to explore new paths. We knew some people wouldn\u2019t like clean vocals in death metal, but we don\u2019t want to think of that too much. We stand 100% behind our music and we really like what we did here. Some people will drop out, but there will definitely be others joining! As Lemmy would say, \u2018You win some, you lose some\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cursed Mortality<\/em> was recorded at Project Zero Studio with producer \/ mixing engineer Yarne Heylen, and mastered and engineered by Joel Wanasek. The track \u2018Herald Of Demise\u2019 features a guest appearance from King Diamond guitarist Andy LaRocque.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was designed by the late Mariusz Lewandowski.<\/p>\n
