Johnstown, Pennsylvania-based death metal band Incantation have filmed a music video for the track \u2018Invocation (Chthonic Merge) X\u2019. Directed by Nathan Thaddeus Cieslak, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Incantation issue 13th full-length studio Unholy Deification<\/em> on August 25th, 2023 through Relapse Records.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not interested in playing it safe,\u201d frontman John McEntee commented. \u201cI think other people feel that there are limits to what we do. However, I don\u2019t see it that way. If it feels right, then it\u2019s Incantation. The songs we write are an honest expression of ourselves. When people hear the new album, I hope they think, \u2018Why are these guys so pissed off?!\u2019 Rage gives focus, which is why this album turned out the way it did.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lyrically, Unholy Deification<\/em> originated with bassist Chuck Sherwood. According to a press release, Sherwood is \u201can avid reader and occult logician\u201d and \u201cwanted to capture a fully realized concept of evolution through enlightenment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guest appearances are made by the likes of Jeff Beccera (Possessed), Henry Veggian (ex-Revenant), and Dan Vadim Von (Morbid Angel).<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was designed by Eliran Kantor.<\/p>\n
