DISGUISED MALIGNANCE Stream New Track \u2018Unearthly Extinction\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Helsinki, Finland-based death metal band Disguised Malignance have made the track \u2018Unearthly Extinction\u2019 available for streaming via YouTube, which can be accessed below.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the song, vocalist Felix Pennanen said: \u201c\u2018Unearthly Extinction\u2019 is a ferocious, groovy, and subtly melodic track that captures the blend of different styles of death metal quite well. The erratic twists and turns together with ear-catching hooks and tasteful leads make for an intense yet memorable death metal brutalizer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Disguised Malignance issue debut full-length studio album Entering The Gateways<\/em> on September 29th, 2023 through Prosthetic Records.<\/p>\n

The track \u2018Malignant Visions\u2019 can also be streamed below.<\/p>\n

\u201cEntering The Gateways<\/em>\u2019 songwriting approach combined with lyrical concepts and overall aesthetic form an entirety that evolves throughout the album’s runtime,\u201d commented frontman Felix Pennanen. \u201cFirst, the listener is absorbed into the hellish and twisted landscapes known from 90s death metal, surrounded with existential dread and nihilistic thoughts. As the album progresses, these landscapes and concepts start to evolve, while new ideas are introduced to the music. I think we achieved a great balance between banger riffs and otherworldly atmospheres.<\/p>\n

\u201cSelf-producing the album allowed us to make this entirety as close to the vision in our heads as possible. From the way each instrument sounds to the colossal and atmospheric synth soundscapes, the freedom to tweak these things ourselves really added a significant amount of depth to this debut album.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are inspired by a wide variety of different kinds of music, and I think it can be felt and heard in Disguised Malignance,\u201d added bassist Aatos Palmu. \u201cAll of those influences together with our own artistic visions form a distinct sound and vibe. This album lays the groundwork for the \u2018Disguised Malignance sound\u2019 which we always aim to achieve and evolve when writing music.\u201d<\/p>\n

All the material on Entering The Gateways<\/em> was composed, arranged and performed by frontman Felix Pennanen and bassist Aato Palmu, with Pennanen additionally handling production and mixing. Mastering was overseen by drummer Juuso H\u00e4m\u00e4l\u00e4inen.<\/p>\n
