CAVALERA Release Re-Recording Of SEPULTURA\u2019s 1986 Debut Album \u2018Morbid Visions\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Brazilian heavy metal band Cavalera, consisting of brothers Max and Iggor, issued the re-recording of Morbid Visions<\/em> on July 14th, 2023 through Nuclear Blast Records.<\/p>\n

In its original form, Morbid Visions<\/em> was released in November 1986 and was the debut full-length studio album of Sepultura \u2013 of whom the Cavalera brothers are former members. Also re-recorded<\/a> was the EP Bestial Devastation<\/em>, Sepultura\u2019s debut EP from December 1985 which was originally released as a split release with Overdose.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we get harder year after year, sometimes you\u2019ve got to go back to where it all started!,\u201d Max Cavalera commented. \u201cWe re-recorded Bestial Devastation<\/em> and Morbid Visions<\/em> with the amazing sound of NOW, but with its raw and timeless spirit. The artwork reflects the times we\u2019re living in right now… Apocalyptic as hell! We also have two new tracks with riffs from those days, remembered by heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI always felt like the recordings of our earlier work didn\u2019t do justice to the way we performed the songs,\u201d Iggor Cavalera added. \u201cSo, this is a very special moment in our lives that we are very proud to show you real fans our true representation of the amazing records Bestial Devastation<\/em> and Morbid Visions<\/em> with an insane visual identity… enjoy and see you all in the pit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morbid Visions<\/em> and Bestial Devastation<\/em> were re-recorded at The Platinum Underground. Both were produced by Max Cavalera and Iggor Cavalera, while John Aquilino engineered. Arthur Rizk handled mixing and mastering for both.<\/p>\n

Rounding out the effort is the new, never released track \u2018Burn The Dead\u2019.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was designed by Eliran Kantor for both re-recordings.<\/p>\n

An animated music video was created for the track \u2018Troops Of Doom\u2019. In addition, an official lyric video was released for the title track. Both clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Fourth studio record Psychosis<\/em> was released<\/a> in November 2017 via Napalm Records, under the Cavalera Conspiracy moniker.<\/p>\n
