English heavy metal band Tailgunner have filmed a music video for the track \u2018New Horizons\u2019, which can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Tailgunner issued debut full-length studio album Guns For Hire<\/em><\/a> on July 14th, 2023 through Fireflash Records.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur debut album Guns For Hire<\/em> is the result of not only the time we have spent together as a band, but a decade of blood, sweat, tears, beers, fights \u2018n\u2019 endless nights – all lit by a burning love for heavy metal,\u201d Tailgunner commented.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, Children of the Night, Marauders of Earth \u2018N\u2019 Hells Vagabonds, on July 14th we invite you to live it with us, told by the tale of these ten songs.<\/p>\n

\u201cHeavy metal is the undying beast, it can not be killed, it can not be stopped, it soldiers on no matter what.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur friend the Warhead, brought to life on our debut album by the incredible Sadist Art Design in a cocktail of 50s horror \u2018n\u2019 80s B-movie posters, is the personification of this music we are so proud to carry the torch for. Are you ready to carry it with us?\u201d<\/p>\n

Recording Guns For Hire<\/em>, Tailgunner moved themselves and all the equipment into an old Victorian chapel from the 1800s, in the dead of winter in early 2021, surrounded by a graveyard. \u201cWe recorded mostly in the middle of the night, upon the altar, using only candles for lighting,\u201d said bassist Thomas Hewson.<\/p>\n

Mixing and mastering was handled by Olof Wikstrand of Enforcer. \u201cI first met Olof at an Enforcer show back in 2019,\u201d remembered Hewson. \u201cI knew he worked as an engineer, both on Enforcer, and other records. I chatted to him about working on something, even though I didn\u2019t yet have a band! It was really important to me to work with Olof on the debut album. He\u2019s a bit like the godfather of this scene that has emerged over the last 10-15 years, and is extremely knowledgeable in heavy metal. Also, the sound of Enforcer records, particularly From Beyond<\/em> (2015) and Live By Fire II<\/em> (2021) is metal mastery!\u201d<\/p>\n

Guns For Hire<\/em> was made available in the following vinyl variants, each limited to 500 copies each; royal blue, crystal clear and as a picture disc.<\/p>\n

Music videos were released for the title track and the song \u2018Crashdive\u2019. Both clips can also be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Four-track EP Crashdive<\/em><\/a> was independently released in June 2022, and subsequently reissued in December of that year with an additional track via Fireflash Records.<\/p>\n
