VOIVOD Release Animated Music Video For Re-Recording Of \u2018Fix My Heart\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Jonqui\u00e8re, Qu\u00e9bec, Canada-based metal band Vo\u00efvod have released an animated music video for a re-recording of the track \u2018Fix My Heart\u2019. Directed by Above The Void, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

The original version of \u2018Fix My Heart\u2019 appeared on Voivod\u2019s August 1993 album The Outer Limits<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Voivod issued compilation album Morg\u00f6th Tales<\/em> on July 21st, 2023 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n

Morg\u00f6th Tales<\/em> was recorded and mixed by Francis Perron at RadicArt Studio, mastered by Maor Appelbaum and produced by Voivod. Morg\u00f6th Tales<\/em> consists of studio re-recordings by Voivod\u2019s current line-up of nine especially selected tracks from the band\u2019s back catalogue (between 1984 and 2003) as well as a brand new song in the form of the album\u2019s title track.<\/p>\n

\u201cMorg\u00f6th Tales<\/em> covers 40 years of space exploration,\u201d drummer Michel \u2018Away\u2019 Langevin commented. \u201cIt was really exciting for us to revisit a more obscure part of the Vo\u00efvod catalogue, from thrash-punk to prog-metal. The title track is a new song, which we started writing on the tour bus and hotels during the Opeth European tour in November \/ December 2022. It has the vibe of the experimental music we are doing nowadays, with a new twist I think. We also had the great thrill of getting Eric (Forrest) and Jason (Newsted) involved on this album. I hope you\u2019ll dig it, Chewy, Rocky, Snake and I certainly had a blast recording it. All aboard and ready for take off!\u201d<\/p>\n

Former vocalist Eric Forrest (E-Force) guests on the re-recording of \u2018Rise\u2019, while former bassist Jason Newsted (ex-Metallica \/ ex-Flotsam And Jetsam) guests on the re-recording of \u2018Rebel Robot\u2019.<\/p>\n

Morg\u00f6th Tales<\/em> was made available in the following vinyl colours; black, white (limited to 800 copies and exclusively available via CMDistro.de), transparent green (limited to 300 copies and exclusively available via CMDistro.de), and red (limited to 300 copies and exclusively available via Voivod outlets).<\/p>\n

Directed by Above The Void, an animated music video was created for the title track. In addition, an official lyric video was released for the re-recording of \u2018Nuage Fractal\u2019. Both clips can also be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Fifteenth studio record Synchro Anarchy<\/em> was released<\/a> in February 2022 via Century Media Records.<\/p>\n
