Kotka, Finland-based death metal band Omnium Gatherum have filmed a music video for the track \u2018Lovelorn\u2019. Directed by Janne Tamminen, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Omnium Gatherum issued four-track EP Slasher<\/em> on June 2nd, 2023 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n

\u201cHello from OG HQ! We\u2019ll serve you a snack in between album cycles \u2013 it\u2019s called Slasher<\/em>, it\u2019s an EP and it rocks!,\u201d commented guitarist Markus Vanhala.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis release is a two-sided coin: A-side is presenting our new guitar hero and team player on the other side of the Atlantic, Mr. Nick Cordle (who joined the band right after our Origin<\/em> release); B-side is presenting two older songs which were recorded already during the Origin<\/em> sessions and aimed to release as digi-singles (but here they are on vinyl and CD too now finally). Enjoy!\u201d<\/p>\n

Slasher<\/em> was mixed by Jens Bogren and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios in \u00d6rebro, Sweden. Included is a cover rendition of the track \u2018Maniac\u2019, originally recorded by Michael Sembello for the 1983 film Flashdance<\/em>.<\/p>\n

As referenced, Slasher<\/em> marks the recording debut of guitarist Nick Cordle, formerly of Arch Enemy and Arsis.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was designed by Olli-Pekka Lappalainen.<\/p>\n

Produced by Coldstore Productions, music videos were filmed for the title track and the band’s cover rendition of Michael Sembello\u2019s \u2018Maniac\u2019. In addition, an official lyric video was released for the track \u2018Sacred\u2019. All three clips can also be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Ninth studio record Origin<\/em> was released in November 2021 via Century Media.<\/p>\n
