WYTHERSAKE Launch Music Video For ‘Antiquity’ Title Track
May 13th, 2021

Washington, D.C.-based blackened death metal band Wythersake have filmed a music video for the title track of their latest album Antiquity. Directed by Valiant Media House, the clip can be viewed below.

Wythersake commented: “Early on in the planning stages we decided to have this first video focus on us as a band performing. No story, no actors just us. We all miss performing live and felt like this could be an outlet for us and hopefully for everyone watching.

“Although the video itself may seem like something simple to create since it was solely performance based, we experienced some delays and setbacks that made it a bit more complicated. We really appreciate our long time friends who came through for us with providing a killer location as well as the amazing job done with the video itself.

“So let’s get right to it. Ladies and Gentleman, we are proud to present the official video for the title track Antiquity. Cheers!”

Wythersake issued debut full-length studio album Antiquity on March 26th, 2021 through Scarlet Records.

According to a press release, the lyrical “concept of Antiquity revolves around apostasy and Gnosticism: in the early Middle Ages, personal spiritual growth and knowledge and the eradication of ignorance became considered heretical and were replaced by salvation through unquestioning faith and piety and a focus on eradication of sin (by any means necessary).”

Cover artwork duties fell to Alvaro Valverde of AV Ilustración.

The track listing is as follows;

01. ‘Prediluvian’
02. ‘Antiquity’
04. ‘From A Serpent Spoken’
05. ‘Iniquity’
06. ‘Through Ritual We Manifest’
07. ‘Lamentations’
08. ‘Feast Upon The Seraph Within’
09. ‘Unto Light 10 My Profane Goddess’

Wythersake’s line-up is as follows;

Gabriel Luis (vocals and guitar)
James Siegrist (guitar)
Cody Bowen (bass)
Daniel Salamanca (drums)

An official lyric video was created for the song ‘Iniquity’, which can also be viewed below.
