VOLBEAT Part Ways With Bassist Anders Kjølholm

Copenhagen, Denmark-based rock group Volbeat parted ways with bassist Anders Kjølholm following a 14-year tenure, revealing this development on November 13th, 2015.

Vocalist / guitarist Michael Poulsen and drummer Jon Larsen issued the following statement: “Anders has been a loyal friend and bandmate since 2001. We’ve toured most parts of the world and shared experiences that only few bands get to do. We’re very thankful for this and wish Anders all the best in the future.”

Kjølholm shared the following words, meanwhile: “It has been a great experience to be part of the Volbeat family for so long and I wish Michael, Jon and Rob (Caggiano, guitar), everyone involved with the band and of course all the fans all the best on the continued journey.”

Kjølholm had been part of Volbeat since their 2001 inception, lending bass to five studio full-lengths in all, namely; The Strength / The Sound / The Songs (2005), Rock The Rebel / Metal The Devil (2007), Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood (2008), Beyond Hell / Above Heaven (2010), and Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies (2013).
