SAXON Release 21st Studio Album ‘Battering Ram’
October 16th, 2015

Yorkshire, England-based metal group Saxon issued 21st full-length studio album Battering Ram on October 16th, 2015 through UDR Music.

The track ‘The Devil’s Footprint’ recounts a tale from the 1600s, while fellow track ‘Tax ‘Till You Drop’ looks at a different kind of evil. Somewhat Alice In Wonderland-esque, another composition was titled ‘Queen Of Hearts’.

The outing was produced by Andy Sneap at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, England, once again.

Biff Byford (lead vocals)
Paul Quinn (guitar)
Doug Scarratt (guitar)
Nibbs Carter (bass)
Nigel Glockler (drums)

Various formats Battering Ram was made available in include CD in ecolbook, 180-gram vinyl, limited edition boxset (containing a CD, a vinyl and a bonus CD with the band performance of their Denim & Leather tour Saxon Over Sweden 2011, featuring 18 tracks).

A music video was filmed for the title track. In addition, an official lyric video was created for the song ‘Queen Of Hearts’.

20th studio record Sacrifice was released in March 2013.
