LEAVES’ EYES Release Sixth Studio Album ‘King Of Kings’
September 11th, 2015

German-Norwegian symphonic metal group Leaves’ Eyes issued sixth studio full-length album King Of Kings on September 11th, 2015 in Europe through AFM Records. The label scheduled North American release for October 2nd.

The outing was recorded in Germany, Norway, England, Netherlands, Belarus and Switzerland, with production being handled by vocalist Alexander Krull at his own Mastersound Studio in Steinheim, Germany. Making an appearance on the effort is the London Voices Choir.

King Of King’s concept is rooted in a chapter of Norwegian history, a chapter having taken place in the Middle Ages. Tracks include ‘Halvdan The Black’, which concerns Halvdanr Svarte (c. 810-860) – a ninth century king of Vestfold, Norway. ‘Edge Of Steel’ features a guest appearance from Epica vocalist Simone Simons, while ‘Blazing Waters’ features a guest appearance from Wardruna vocalist Lindy-Fay Hella.

Cover artwork duties fell to Stefan Hielemann.

Music videos were filmed for the songs ‘Halvdan The Black’ and ‘The Waking Eye’. In addition, an official lyric video was created for the title track. All three clips can be viewed below.

Fifth studio record Symphonies Of The Night was released in November 2013.
