LACUNA COIL Release Eighth Studio Album ‘Delirium’

Milan, Italy-based heavy rock group Lacuna Coil issued eighth full-length studio album Delirium on May 27th, 2016 through Century Media Records.

The outing was recorded at BRX Studio in Milan between December 2015 and February 2016. Production was handled by Lacuna Coil bassist and principal songwriter Marco Coti-Zelati, with engineering by Marco Barusso and additional assistance from Dario Valentini.

Delirium marks the first Lacuna Coil effort not to feature guitarist Cristiano Migliore and drummer Cristiano Mozzati, whose departures following a 16-year tenure were confirmed on February 14th, 2014, citing personal reasons. It also marks the debut of American drummer Ryan Blake Folden.

Cover artwork was created by Coti-Zelati and is based on an atmospheric session captured by Italian photographer Alessandro Olgiati.

Lacuna Coil’s line-up was as follows;

Delirium shifted roughly 13,000 equivalent album units in the United States in its first week of release, of which nearly all were from pure album sales. The effort charted at position 33 on the Billboard 200.

Music videos were filmed for the title track and the songs ‘Blood, Tears, Dust’ and ‘You Love Me ’Cause I Hate You’. In addition, an official lyric video was created for the song ‘The House Of Shame’. All four clips can be viewed below.

Seventh studio record Broken Crown Halo was released in April 2014.
