FROZEN CROWN Release Third Studio Album ‘Winterbane’
April 23rd, 2021

Milan, Italy-based melodic power metal band Frozen Crown issued third full-length studio album Winterbane on April 23rd, 2021 (excluding Japan) through Scarlet Records. Japanese release was handled by Marquee Inc. / Avalon.

The band commented: “Winterbane is the third Frozen Crown album, and by far the most obscure of our works. The third chapter consolidates the classic Frozen Crown trademark sound and brings it to the next level, giving priority to a straightforward and in-your-face approach based on powerful and dynamic drums and thundering bass lines. Guitar work plays a key role again, this time richer and more intricate than ever, drawing catchy melodies along lead singer Giada Etro’s vocals.

“The heaviest of our albums, with strong classic metal vibes adding to the usual power / melodeath combination, Winterbane represents a proper group effort thanks to the flawless new three members intake.”

Volturian singer Federica Lanna contributed guest vocals on the track ‘Angels In Disguise’.

Winterbane was produced by Andrea Fusini at Fusix Studio in Turin, Italy. Cover artwork was once again created by Frozen Crown mastermind and songwriter Federico Mondelli.

The track listing is as follows:

01. ‘Embrace The Night’
02. ‘Towards The Sun’
03. ‘Far Beyond’
04. ‘The Lone Stranger’
05. ‘Crown Eternal’
06. ‘The Water Dancer’
07. ‘Angels In Disguise’ (feat. Federica Lanna)
08. ‘Night Crawler’ (Judas Priest cover)
09. ‘Tales Of The Forest’
10. ‘Blood On The Snow’

Frozen Crown’s line-up is as follows:

Giada “Jade” Etro (vocals, Ashes You Leave / Tystnaden)
Federico Mondelli (vocals, guitar and keyboards, Be The Wolf / Volturian)
Fabiola “Sheena” Bellomo (lead guitar, ex-Manam)
Francesco Zof (bass)
Niso Tomasini (drums)

Music videos were filmed for the tracks ‘Far Beyond’ and ‘Embrace The Night’. Both clips can be viewed below.

In addition, a music video was filmed for the track ‘The Water Dancer’, the video in question directed by Luca Morselli and Frozen Crown guitarist Federico Mondelli.

‘The Water Dancer’ was conceptually inspired by the classic series of novels A Song Of Ice And Fire and TV show Game Of Thrones – more specifically, by the ultrabrave and fierce Arya Stark character. Making a guest appearance in the video was Damien Von Dunkenwald and his Northern Wolfdogs Pack.

That clip can also be viewed below.

Second studio record Crowned In Frost was released in March 2019 via Scarlet.
