AMON AMARTH Release Tenth Studio Album ‘Jomsviking’
March 25th, 2016

Stockholm, Sweden-based melodic death metal group Amon Amarth issued tenth full-length studio album Jomsviking on March 25th, 2016 in North America through Metal Blade Records. Sony Music scheduled international release for the same day.

The first concept record to be released by Amon Amarth, Jomsviking is set in the world of the Jomsvikings, the order of mercenary Vikings. Production and mixing was handled by Andy Sneap, with guest session musician Tobias Gustafsson (ex-Vomitory) stepping behind the drumkit.

Amon Amarth’s line-up was as follows;

Johan Söderberg (guitar)
Olavi Mikkonen (guitar)
Ted Lundström (bass)

Jomsviking charted in the following countries in its first week of release; Germany (#1), Austria (#1), Switzerland (#3), Canada (#4), Finland (#4), Sweden (#5), Australia (#15), United States (#19), Belgium (#25), United Kingdom (#30), France (#33), and Netherlands (#35).

Music videos were also filmed for the tracks ‘First Kill’, ‘At Dawn’s First Light’, ‘Raise Your Horns’ and ‘The Way Of Vikings’. All four clips can be viewed below.

Ninth studio record Deceiver Of The Gods was released in June 2013.
