Hailing from Los Angeles, California come the highly recommended Abattoir; a five-piece consisting of Raul Preston (vocals), Robert ‘Danger’ Wayne (drums), and founding members Mark Caro (lead guitar), Juan Garcia (second guitar) and Mel Sanchez (bass).
Abattoir have only been together for about a year but they’ve already appeared on the Metal Massacre IV compilation album and will soon be releasing their debut EP.
Musically Abattoir can be compared to the likes of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden with a touch of raw edged Motörhead thrown in on top. Their demo contains two excellent fast paced metal numbers; ‘Vicious Attack’ and ‘Screams From The Grave’ which is a slightly superior version to the one that can be found on Metal Massacre IV.
Abattoir’s EP will contain both demo tracks as well as ‘The Living And The Dead’, ‘Hammer Of The Gods’ and maybe one other track.
